The 2025 Royal Adelaide Show has wrapped up, and what an unforgettable week it has been for George the Farmer and our team! From the very first day, the excitement, curiosity, and energy on the Showgrounds were absolutely contagious. Families, teachers, and children from all over South Australia (and beyond!) joined us to celebrate the amazing world of farming, food, and fibre.
One of the many highlights of the week was our live performances. We loved seeing kids and families gathered to sing along, laugh, and learn about life on the farm. Seeing children’s faces light up during these shows reminded us why George the Farmer exists - to make farming fun, accessible, and inspiring for the next generation.
Our team also had the pleasure of chatting with several local media outlets. Simone shared stories and insights with ABC Radio and Five AA’s Leith. She spoke about helping spread the message of George the Farmer far beyond the Showgrounds, the importance of agri-cation in the classroom, and how George has become a pillar in the ‘edu-tainment’ sector. These conversations gave us the chance to talk about the importance of teaching children where their food and fibre come from, and why agriculture matters to every community.
Meeting our little fans in person was another absolute highlight! From curious questions about crops and livestock to excited hugs and high-fives, connecting face-to-face with children reminded us just how special these interactions are. Families stopped by to share their own farm stories, grab a book, or take part in activities - each moment reinforcing the connection between communities and the land that sustains them.
Teachers and educators also got involved, sharing their passion for agriculture and taking ideas back to their classrooms. Seeing so many educators excited about incorporating George the Farmer resources into teaching was inspiring and reaffirmed the impact we can make beyond the Showgrounds.
The week was packed with energy, learning, and fun, but also with inspiration. Witnessing children, families, and educators come together around curiosity, imagination, and learning about farming, gave our team a huge boost of encouragement. It reminded us why we love what we do and motivates us to keep growing George the Farmer so even more young (and not so young!) people can experience the joys of learning about agriculture.
As we pack up and reflect on the week, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who visited, shared a laugh, or picked up a book. The 2025 Royal Adelaide Show has been a huge success, and we can’t wait to head to the Perth Royal show with even more stories, activities, and adventures for kids and families to enjoy.
Until next time, Adelaide - keep exploring, learning, and celebrating the incredible world of agriculture.
